Terms of Service
Effective October 15, 2026
These terms apply to your use of lapbehavior.us and set out general terms for services provided by L.A.P. Learning & Behavior Inc. ("L.A.P.," "we," "us"), 14247 SW 158 Path, Miami, FL 33196. Families sign a service agreement, consent forms, and financial responsibility forms at intake; those documents control if they conflict with these terms.
Services
We provide ABA assessment and therapy, early intervention, caregiver training, school consultation, and social skills groups for children and teens. Services are delivered by or under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts according to an individualized treatment plan agreed with the parent or guardian.
No guarantee of outcomes
Every child is different. We use evidence-based methods and share progress data with you, but we cannot guarantee specific results or timelines.
Website information
Content on this website, including the intake checklist, is general information and not medical or clinical advice. Contacting us through the website does not create a provider-client relationship.
Payment
- Insurance: We verify benefits and bill your plan. You're responsible for copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and services your plan denies, as explained to you in writing before services begin. We'll tell you promptly if an authorization lapses or is denied.
- Private pay: Fees are set out in a written fee agreement before services start and are billed monthly unless agreed otherwise.
Scheduling and cancellations
Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel a session. Frequent late cancellations or no-shows may require us to change your schedule so other families can be served. We'll give you as much notice as possible if staff illness or emergencies require us to cancel and will offer make-up time when available.
Safety and supervision
For in-home sessions, a parent or authorized adult must be present at the home. Our staff are mandatory reporters under Florida law.
Ending services
You may end services at any time with written notice. We may end services with reasonable notice and transition recommendations, for example if goals are met, funding ends, or we can no longer meet your child's needs.
Concerns and dispute resolution
Contact support@lapbehavior.us or (305) 382-6457. We'll acknowledge within 1 business day and respond in writing within 10 business days. If a billing or service dispute isn't resolved, either party may request non-binding mediation in Miami-Dade County with a mutually agreed mediator, with fees shared equally, before filing a claim. You may also contact your health plan or the relevant licensing or certification board at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Florida law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, with venue in Miami-Dade County.
Changes
We may update these terms and will change the effective date when we do.
